Sarasota County Schools – 1 of 3 “A” Districts in Florida

Sarasota County is a strong academic school district.  It is only one out of three school districts in Florida to receive an “A” rating.  Venice has four (4) public elementary schools, one (1) charter elementary school, two (2) public middle schools, three (3) charter middle schools, one (1) public high school, and a few private schools.  Located just North of Venice in Osprey is Pine View School for grades 2-12, which is continually ranked the number one school in Florida.

The Gulf of Mexico, with its frequently calm waters, and the Intracoastal Waterway, stretching from Sarasota to Englewood, provides visitors and residents of Sarasota County, especially Venice, Florida, with many exciting water activities.  You can find several paddle board, kayak, jet ski and boat rentals in Venice, Nokomis and Osprey.  If you just want to travel between waterfront restaurants on the Intracoastal Waterway, there is even a water taxi service.
